A former Colorado lawman with a record so distinguished he was once honored as the nation’s sheriff of the year now finds himself in a jail that was named for him, is accused of offering methamphetamine in exchange for sex with men.

Now, former Sheriff Sullivan, age 68, is no longer the tough-talking lawman. He is the “old man” who a 911 caller asked police to remove from his home and the one accused of offering methamphetamine to a man in exchange for sex.

How he went from being voted the nation’s sheriff a decade ago to getting bailed out of the jail that bears his name has perplexed many in an affluent Colorado county, where he served as top-cop for decades.

Colorado law enforcement officals are now looking deeper into an unsolved investigation of a January 26, 2011 drowning of 27-year-old Sean Moss (photo right), a former gay porn performer who used the stage name, Joshua Berlin, and the autopsy for whom showed intoxication from meth and gamma-hydroxybutryic acid, or GHB, best known as a date rape drug. Less than two weeks before Moss’s death, Sullivan reportedly posted bail for Moss’s arrest in a domestic violence case involving another man in a Denver suburb. Police say Moss’s case remained open because the coroner could not determine the cause of death.

Moss, also used to work at the Triple C Bathhouse in Denver. Several patrons of the bathhouse have come forward claiming Sullivan was a regular at the Triple C following a recent search of the establishment by police on Friday.

Sullivan recommended Moss for a job as a security guard for the local high school, where Moss worked only for 13 day prior to his body turning up in the Platt River.

A documented criminal and well known Cyberstalker named Damon Kruezer has finally managed to find himself a steady internet connection as of late and is back at his old tricks once again. After having resurfaced following an 18 month homeless status, Damon Kruezer has returned to the blog and Twitter sphere, this time making false claims about gay porn director Kevin Clarke having responsibility for the death of former twink performer, Devon Renfro.

Kruezer claims he has been hired to investigate the death of Renfro and has published incorrect statements surrounding the circumstances of the death and more namely published an image claiming it to be that of the deceased model. Trouble is the image of the model which Kruezer published isn’t even the model, rather its an entirely different model named Troy Fox.

The exploits by Kruezer has raised the ire of Director Kevin Clarke and the former boyfriend of the deceased model, Kris DeFerr. It has also been discovered that Kruezer actually copied the inaccurate photo and circumvented the story from published author, Dennis Cooper’s blog who has now chimed in and created a retraction of his post.

His real name is Kent W. Barclay (photo left)  and he parades around online using the persona known as Damon Kruezer. The 61 year old Barclay self proclaims to be a gay news journalist or gay talent agent. Of course not a single person or studio can confirm that he is in fact involved in any business relationship nor can any entity confirm that he has purposed any content for commercial use within the gay porn marketplace. Rather than being confirmed as a legitimate contributor an overwhelming collection of criminal activities have been documented in blogs and with law enforcement officials. Active law enforcement investigations have yet to manifest into a formal arrest at this time due to red tape and multiple  jurisdictional issues. Barclay mainly seeks out naive gay porn consumers and new performers and fleeces them for money and phone sex.

Many individuals have been the victim of a variety of scams conducted by Damon Kruezer. A number of attempts to blackmail gay porn performers using a variety of tactics using an identity of being a talent agent have been carried out by Barclay in order to have models contact him by telephone and have them read manufactured video scene scripts which in essence provides him with personal satisfaction along the lines of phone sex. When the model finally discovers they have been the target Barclay launches a series of defamation and harassment campaigns. One gay porn fan, Roy Richards was the victim of a fake film scam dubbed, Brad’s Buddies II. The victim thinking he was investing in a gay porn film production suffered a loss of $11,500.00 in cash transfers done using Western Union and a Rhode Island based bank.

I am going to start this with a few words about the late Devon Renfro. Devon worked for me in a video I made in 2001 called Ashton Ryan’s B-Boys. He was paired in a scene with his then boyfriend Kris DeFerr who I had known for a few years as I almost cast him in The American Way. They were in a three way scene with a young man from Virginia, Chris Tyler. I can still chuckle at Chris in his Virginia accent after bottoming for Devon saying “I can’t take any more of that”. Devon was an exceptionally bright young man who more than anything about him I can say he was my friend. I last spoke with him about 4 days before he died.

Devin Renfro died on December 24 2002. I will never forget the call from Kris telling me that Devon was gone. The funeral was as I recall on Dec 30, and the holiday season stood still. I never was much of a fan of the week between Christmas and New Years as my mother died on New Years Eve 1973 and was very sick from Christmas on. I could not grasp the concept of losing someone so vibrant so young, and I headed to the funeral a day early. The night before the funeral I had the honor of having dinner with Kris, and Devon’s parents and another friend of Devon’s. We went to Denny’s because it was a favorite of Devon’s and I ordered something smothered and covered in his honor.

It is hard to describe how difficult it is to meet two people who are valiantly trying to bury their only child. There were wonderful childhood stories, a lot of laughter, and a lot of tears. It was exhausting in it’s heartbreak, and I headed back to my hotel room with a heavy heart, and grief that is beyond words. The next day we all buried him with his friends from growing up all around, and his family devastated. When I drove home I went from that grief into my own remembrances of the loss of my mother, and was overwhelmed.

I tried as best as I could to keep in touch with Kris and we remained friends through the years. Never in my wildest imagination did I expect to be where I am now with this, but here I am. About 3 months ago Kris called me and pointed me to a 2 year old Blog post by a man named Dennis Cooper that had a story about Devon’s death that was part of a group of stories about unlucky porn stars. It was a bizarre piece linking Devon’s death to a rumor about a video called “Headbangers 2” and named someone called Kris Klatch who had said that he was paid to rough Devon up, and that was why he died. In this story was a picture of another B-Boys model Troy Fox purporting to be Devon. Nowhere in this story did it connect me to Headbangers 2, it just said that he was a star of B-Boys. I told Kris to ignore it, it as it was not correct in any way, and the picture was not of Devon, it was 2 years old, and would fade away. He was very upset as his life changed that Christmas eve 9 years ago and Devon was being dragged through the mud and lies were being told about the love of his life.

Let’s fast forward to this week where Internet stalker Kent Barclay aka Damon Kruezer desperate to take away attention from his own fraudulent activity, knowing that I have been in Quincy doing interviews with people who know him for an upcoming work about him, tries desperately to use this uncorroborated story and accuse me of essentially being responsible for the death of my friend. All of the sudden Headbangers 2 is an unreleased video of mine, the reason I left porn, and I am worried and he and his Private investigator have uncovered information and the story is breaking. I discussed it with Kris, and the first thing he did was contact Paul Baressi Kent’s last detective of record whim Kris had worked for and Paul informed him that he was out of the business, was not involved with this, and to email him the details and he would see about taking it up with Kent. Now Kent has in the last few days claimed to be asked to look into this by models of mine, and the grieving family has hired some investigator to get to the truth. Just like he claimed in the past that he was hired in the Kocis murder case or the infamous Detective Lucheese he tried to intimidate Mark Adams with years ago.There are meeting about this and I should be afraid now. Here are the facts, and then we will deconstruct Kent’s latest pack of lies, which are by the way libel.

The last scene Devon shot was in B-Boys a year before his death. Kris and Devon left LA to get away from the porn business, and started a life together away from LA. I would mention where but you will see later why I have not. Devon did not shoot a scene days before he died. I never shot anything called “Headbangers,” it was never made, never edited nothing. All a lie. More on that later …

The video was never released, and it seems there are major unanswered questions and even an accusation of wrongdoing in connection with this case.

Now I realize that in the parallel universe of lies that you live In, you can claim you can release a video that was never made like you did with Brad’s Buddies 2 for a year and never release it and then just not mention any of the lies you told about making it, like doing to Paris, or the money you defrauded Roy Richards out of in the fraud scam, or the fraud you committed opening the bank account in Rhode Island, but in this world there was no video made so how could it be released?]

Now we feel it’s time to get to the truth of this tragic death of a young gay model who was much loved by his soulmate and is greatly missed to this day.

Interestingly, Clarke has been recently quoted as saying to well known industry figures that he “intends to destroy Damon by any means possible”.

We ask them why would someone use over 20 different pictures of different attractive people claiming to be themselves? We show them your pics now and they all remark about the size of your man titties, and the scowl on your face and say “Is that really him” Then we show then the 30 yo picture you sent to Channel 13 yourself and they to a person say Yep that’s the same guy dam he didn’t age well. Some ever offer to chip in to the sports bra fund.  We ask them why would they trust someone who has abused his own mother? Then you show them your history, and the truth and they run, I have made no secret of this Kent. Of course we are delving into this situation with great respect for the memory of the late Mr. Renfro, and with all due respect for his loved ones.  But there is arguably a mystery needing to be solved, and possibly justice to be done, with Clarke’s mysterious and hateful obsession with us to be taken into account.  Our clients are anxious for our assessment of the situation.

1.Where was it that Devon Died? Surely if you and your investigator have been asked by the family to get the truth you know that?

2. Why when you printed the item did you use a picture of Troy Fox, not Devon? Wait I’ll answer that for you when you lifted it from Dennis Cooper you didn’t bother to check facts.

3. Since you and your investigator are searching for the family would you care to release the first names of Devon’s Parents? That would keep them anonymous but the friends of Devon would easily be able to corroborate whether you are telling the truth or you are a lying piece of shit

3. Explain why I would make a Headbangers 2 if I did not make Headbangers 1? Now you would lie about Brad’s Buddies 2 but why would I in the prime of my career do a followup to a minor YMAC movie made in the 90’s?

4. Who did I make Headbangers 2 for? Where is it now? Can you find anyone who was in it. worked on it with me? IS there a shread of any information anywhere that connects me to that? I have no idea if anyone tried to make such a video, I do however know I did not. Devon did not. His tragic death was neither connected to me, or any video. His family is well aware of how he died, and the idea that they don’t is as insulting and cruel as the rest of this.

5. Do you think that trying to discredit me with lies and trying to bring pain to decent people who lost a son with lies is going to make the truth about you to go away? You are a fraud. You live in single rooms in the Quincy MA, or with druggies, after your mother caught pneumonia at a homeless shelter and was placed away from you after the hospital. When people read the interview of how upset your mother was when you claimed you were mugged and lost her entire Social Security Check, or the bad check at the stop and go, or the food pantries that have expelled you, or the countless people in the Quincy area that have stories to tell about just how big an asshole you are? Did you think that lying about me was going to stop the truth from coming out about you?

Here is the difference Kent. You are lying. I am telling the truth. You never moved to Silverlake. You have and still are a deadbeat in the Quincy area. You will not be anywhere you say because your broke ass can’t afford the train to Boston much less the Fung Wah bus to anywhere. As I said before and will say again sue me. You can’t and you won’t because telling the truth is not a crime. Defrauding people however is a crime. Every lie you tell is a nail in the coffin that will send you to jail. I had a great run, I leave behind a body of work I am proud of.

You have an unpaid story in DNA magazine who never had you back, and a path of lies and people who hate you and your lies. You cannot show your face in public. You are less than the dog shit people scrape off their shoes on a bad day. This time though you are not going to use the untimely death of my friend to lie. Now I communicated with Dennis Cooper today and he is retracting that story, apologized for any harm it may have caused. So now where you stole if from is gone.

My challenge to you is this… answer those questions. You can’t because everything you have said is a lie. Asking you to be decent is a lot like the feeling one has after they have taken a nasty shit and realize there is no toilet paper. So the challenge is simple come up with facts about something that never happened or like Dennis Cooper retract. Apologize to Kris DeFerr and the family of Devon Renfro, and go away. Now we know that you are not capable of truth or decency, but this you can count on. The trying to use the death of my friend will not discredit me, it will only stiffen my resolve, and that of the friends of this great guy. I miss him every day, I am disgusted that you would even consider lying about such a thing, but you are you. Sadly for you I am me. Now you can lie about my health (which is fine by the way), you can be jealous of my work, but in the end you are a lying piece of shit who accomplished nothing in his life and actually brought his 86 year old mother to a homeless shelter where she caught pneumonia because he could not hold a job, and bashing Brent Corrigon was more important than the life and welfare of his own mother.

Everyone knows what you are Kent, and anyone who doesn’t knows within minutes. Correct your lies, ask forgiveness from the family and friends of Devon Renfro. It won’t stop me of course, but it is something that you will do one way or another. Now keep looking over your shoulder Kent as the video camera you see in the distance is filming you. You will pay for the lies and the latest libel and slanders. You will pay for all of them.

A Pensacola, Florida man has been charged with manslaughter after police say he punched Terry Lindon Kelley, 34, of Pace, Florida after a minor car accident in the face. According to news reports

Telly Jabar Hill, 27, of Pensacola, Florida was charged on December 13, 2010. The incident happened Saturday, December 11, 2010 at about 6:30 pm.

Witnesses told police Hill and Kelly were involved in a minor car crash at When Kelley got out of his vehicle to view the damage, witnesses said that Hill, who was an occupant of the other vehicle, punched Kelley one time in the face with his fist.

Kelley fell to the ground and suffered a massive head injury. He was taken to a hospital where he died Monday, December 13.

Police say Hill left the scene of the accident after Kelley went down. Hill was arrested and booked into the Escambia County, Florida Jail on a $50,000 bond. The crash remains under investigation.

San Diego, California gay and lesbian community are mourning the suicide of Michael Portantino (1958-2010), longtime publisher of San Diego’s Gay and Lesbian Times.

The 52-year-old apparently jumped and landed on a cement walkway in the 500 block of Spruce Street sometime before 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2010 the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office reported.

His body was discovered by a passerby next to the hotel, Park Manor Suites, according to the Medical Examiner’s office, which ruled the manner of death as suicide.

A former stockbroker, Portantino bought one of San Diego’s smallest gay publications in 1989 and grew it to be one of the largest gay publications in Southern California, with a circulation of more than 15,000, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported. In October, the weekly publication, which covered news, politics and community issues, was shut down due to economic difficulties.

Bob Guccione, who founded Penthouse magazine and created an erotic corporate empire around it, only to see it crumble as his investments soured and the world of pornography turned toward video and the Internet, died Wednesday. He was 79.

A statement issued by the Guccione family says he died at Plano Specialty Hospital in Plano. His wife, April Dawn Warren Guccione, had said he had battled lung cancer for several years.

Penthouse reached the pinnacle of its popularity in September 1984, when it published nude pictures of Vanessa Williams, the first black Miss America. Williams, now a singer and actress, was forced to relinquish her crown after the release of the issue, which sold nearly 6 million copies and reportedly made $14 million.

A frustrated artist who once attended a Catholic seminary, Guccione started Penthouse in 1965 in England to subsidize his art career and was the magazine’s first photographer. He introduced the magazine to the American public in 1969 at the height of the feminist movement and the sexual revolution.

Penthouse quickly posed a challenge to Hugh Hefner’s Playboy by offering a mix of tabloid journalism with provocative photos of nude women, dubbed Penthouse Pets.

“We followed the philosophy of voyeurism,” Guccione told The Independent newspaper in London in 2004. He added that he attained a stylized eroticism in his photography by posing his models looking away from the camera.

“To see her as if she doesn’t know she’s being seen,” he said. “That was the sexy part. That was the part that none of our competition understood.”

Guccione estimated that Penthouse earned $4 billion during his reign as publisher. He was listed in the Forbes 400 ranking of wealthiest people with a net worth of about $400 million in 1982.

Guccione built a corporate empire under the General Media Inc. umbrella that included book publishing and merchandising divisions and Viva, a magazine featuring male nudes aimed at a female audience. He also created Penthouse Forum, the pocket-size magazine that played off the success of the racy letters to the editor that began, “Dear Penthouse, I never thought I’d be writing you…”

Guccione and longtime business collaborator Kathy Keeton, who later became his third wife, also published more mainstream fare, such as Omni magazine, which focused on science and science fiction, and Longevity, a health advice magazine. Keeton died of cancer in 1997 following surgery, but Guccione continued to list her on the Penthouse masthead as president.

Guccione lost much of his personal fortune on bad investments and risky ventures.

Probably his best-known business failure was a $17.5 million investment in the 1979 production of the X-rated film “Caligula.” Malcolm McDowell was cast as the decadent emperor of the title, and the supporting cast included Helen Mirren, John Gielgud and Peter O’Toole.

Distributors shunned the film, with its graphic scenes of lesbianism and incest. However, it eventually became General Media’s most popular DVD.

Guccione also lost millions on a proposed Atlantic City casino. He never received a gambling license and construction of the casino stalled.

Legal fees further eroded his fortune. Among those who sued were televangelist Jerry Falwell, a California resort, a former Miss Wyoming and a Penthouse Pet who accused Guccione of forcing her to perform sexual favors for business colleagues. In 1985, Guccione had to pay $45 million in delinquent taxes.

The next year, U.S. Attorney General Edwin Meese’s Commission on Pornography issued a report attacking the adult entertainment industry. Guccione called the report “disgraceful” and doubted it would have any impact, but newsstands and convenience stores responded by pulling Penthouse from their magazine racks.

Circulation dropped after the Meese commission report and years later took another hit with the proliferation of X-rated videos and Web sites.

“The future has definitely migrated to electronic media,” Guccione acknowledged in a 2002 New York Times interview.

In 2003, General Media Inc. filed for bankruptcy. A private-equity investor from Florida acquired Penthouse the following year in a bankruptcy sale.

Penthouse and related properties are now owned by FriendFinder Networks Inc., a Boca Raton, Fla.-based company that offers social networking and online adult entertainment, including some with the Penthouse brand.

Guccione was born in Brooklyn and attended prep school in New Jersey. He spent several months in a Catholic seminary before dropping out to pursue his dream of becoming an artist. He wandered Europe as a painter for several years.

April Guccione said her husband was working as a cartoonist and a manager of self-service laundries in London when he got the idea of starting a magazine more explicit and aimed more squarely at “regular guys” than Playboy, which cultivated an upscale image.

Guccione’s staff, which included family members, often described the publisher as mercurial.

“He was a mass of contradictions, engendering fierce loyalty and equally fierce contempt,” wrote Patricia Bosworth in a 2005 Vanity Fair article about Guccione, for whom she had worked as executive editor of Viva.

“He hired and fired people — then rehired them. He could be warm and funny one minute and cold and detached the next.”

Guccione’s management style even sparked a rift with his own son, Bob Guccione Jr. In 1985, the publisher helped his son launch the music magazine Spin, with Bob Jr. serving as editor and publisher. After just two years, the two clashed over the direction of the magazine and the elder Guccione decided to shut it down, forcing his son to secure outside funding.

Success as a publisher allowed Guccione to amass an impressive art collection, which included paintings by El Greco, Modigliani, Dali, Degas, Matisse and Picasso. The works adorned his 30-room, 22,000-square-foot mansion in New York City.

Guccione’s financial problems forced him to sell his art collection in 2002 at auction. The collection had been appraised by Christie’s at $59 million two years earlier. Four years later, he was forced to sell his Manhattan mansion.

Guccione eventually went back to painting, and his works were shown at venues including the Butler Institute of American Art in Ohio and the Nassau County Museum of Art in New York, said April Guccione, who married him in 2006. The couple moved from New Jersey to Texas in 2009.

Married four times, Guccione had a daughter, Toni, from his first marriage and two sons, Bob Jr. and Nick, and a daughter, Nina, from his second marriage.

Yesterday news spread about the death of porn legend Vaughn Kinsey.  So little was said about him that I was taken back about a man who was such a large figure in the beginnings of porn as we know it that I decided to say a few words myself. It is impossible to say anything about Vaughn without using the word elegant.  There were no cotton sheets for this man everything was silk. The stories about Vaughn were stories of a legend; how he spent money, how he lived, and his love for the finer things in life.  He was the epitome of the smooth talker, not only could he sell ice cubes in the artic, he could sell the ice cubes and the freezer they came in … even though none of them belonged to him. With Vaughn there was always an angle, usually a sideways one that included bamboozling everyone and everything in sight. Vaughn was not only charming, he owned the word, and would promptly sell it to 5 different people and be gone before anyone figured it out.

To say that Vaughn represented the end of an era is quite not accurate. He was a more of a relic of the industry’s glory days. A brief history would bring you back to San Francisco where Vaughn was for want of a better term a “pimp”. He ran an escort operation in San Francisco and he truly was a major force in the beginnings of gay porn industry. In San Francisco, Vaughn was a mover and a shaker back in the day along with Jim Hodges (aka John Travis) and Richard Morgan (junior Studios). Jim, Richard and Vaughn worked as free agents providing talent for making and selling porn in those early days. The “Kinsey Touch” was un-mistakable: beautiful men in beautiful places, lavish sets, bold lighting all were Kinsey trademarks. My personal favorite was a movie called Two Handfuls.  Vaughn produced the film with John Travis directing  and starring Brian Maxon.  It was Kinsey at his very best!

Early on in those days San Francisco was the hub of gay porn. Chuck Holmes, Toby Ross, J.Brian and countless others worked there and built empires. Vaughn Kinsey was at the center of it all. He died yesterday without a whimper.  It was mentioned by some other industry veterans on Twitter that Vaughn had worked with gay porn’s first real star, Jeff Stryker, and while true that is, Vaughn  missed playing into the legacy of Stryker who went on to be huge in the industry. But at his start there of course was Vaughn.

You cannot explain Vaughn without discussing the underside of his life. With Vaughn there was always an angle, a con or a scheme that was just around the corner. He was tireless in his pursuit of the finer things in life. His list of well-known clients would make you blush but he never traded that knowledge for money.  I spoke last night with a friend of mine that talked with Vaughn last week and he was the same till the end. The scheme was just around the corner. Vaughn was brilliant. No doubt about that. He was truly a founding father of the gay porn industry. The “Black Buddha” as he was known. Vaughn found the best talent, provided the best men, and had a hand in some of the best porn ever made. He also was a scoundrel.  Now, I am not speaking badly of the dead, but just to explain the life of this man who loomed so large over this business allow me to share this story.

In 1980 ( I could be wrong about the year) Vaughn and Richard Morgan were partners and were busted on obscenity charges in Florida. As I heard the story it had something to do with an inter-racial scene that was not supposed to be shipped to Florida but was, and they were busted. They went to trial and lost. According to Richard it was Vaughn’s fault they lost the case and Richard got upset because he got stuck paying for not only his but also Vaughn’s legal defense bill. They were then mortal enemies. That happened with Richard Morgan a lot. Richard and Falcon founder Chuck Holmes had similar feelings towards each other. Let me stop rambling and fast forward you to 1995 when I  was working for Richard Morgan at Junior Studio and just learning the porn business. Seemed people like Chuck looked at me like I was a pariah because I worked with Richard. It was a few years later I understood why. We were looking for a graphics company to help us with the new fangled thing called online and I got a referral from =Edward James who had been a protégé of Vaughn. Richard made me call him back and get an assurance that he was no longer connected to Vaughn.  I called and he swore they were no longer connected; Richard and I went to the Valley the next day.

We were waiting in the lobby when James pulls up and out of the car with him is the Black Buddha himself . Richard is apoplectic, Vaughn comes in the door looks at Richard does a beeline for the inside and hides. As we leave Richard is yelling at me, Vaughn is yelling at James and I am less than happy. Richard tells me that Vaughn is going to get back at me, I tell him he is crazy.(Something I had to do often). I talked to James he give me a song and a dance about he really doesn’t work for Vaughn and it passes. Several months pass and Richard and I are in need of a computer person to put our mailing list on to a computer(the mailing list was the life blood of the business). I find a young blond boy names Shawn Pitts who had done some modeling who comes in and whips our non-computer office into shape.  One day I met Edward James for Lunch at the French Market in Weho as he was casting a twink video and we went through his cast book to look at models.  As I glance through about 10 pages in I see Shawn Pitts. I said to James “What about this guy?” He says “oh you mean Vaughn’s assistant”. I dropped what I was eating and ran to Richards office behind the Pleasure Chest a few blocks away maybe 4 minutes and I find Shawn Pitts with the computer under his arm making a bee-line for the office door.

I make him hook the computer back up and copy the mailing list, and then I had him do a system restore on the computer wiping everything off it. He agreed, as calling the police was his other option and he left.  At that moment I fully realized just what Vaughn Kinsey was, and the lengths he would go to in his professional endeavors. I avoided any dealings with him after that, and was amused at the stories one would hear. I remember being at an AVN convention and a man came up to the booth and said “Has anyone seen John Summers?”  Someone in the booth answered “How much did he take you for? It was thousands. Vaughn rarely appeared in public and that was one of the reasons. It always amazed me how he kept going, and how he could charm anyone out of anything. The last time I saw him was at Brian King (Delta Productions) in 2005. It was a rare moment where he and Richard Morgan were in the same place. As far away from each other as they could get but the same place none the less.

Vaughn was a giant in so many ways. He was brilliant, refined, elegant, charming and there will never be another. I say nothing out of disrespect, or rancor. The porn world lost a founding father. He was a block upon which some of the best things we have been built on. It is a shame that his legacy is forgotten, and that much was obscured by his failings. I will say this though,  there will never be another Vaughn  Kincey. Wherever he is now he is spinning a tale, and working an angle.  I did not like him, but I fully recognize the enormous talent, the huge contribution he has made, and how we all owe a tip of the hat to this giant of a man, with a wondrous career, and a legacy that will live on forever.

Allan Gassman, who appeared on national talk shows to discuss safe, sane orgies and helped initiate safer sex in the gay adult industry, was found dead in his Manhattan apartment in April. He died of complications of HIV and a suspected drug overdose, according to friends.

Gassman was 47.

A porn performer, director and writer, Gassman documented his safe sex activism in an award-winning documentary The O Boys: Parties, Porn & Politics, which traveled the international film festival circuit, provoking many discussions and controversial panels. The documentary, which won the 1999 GAYVN Award for “Best Alternative Video,” includes interviews with sex activist and author Jill Nagle, playwright Robert Patrick, activist and performer Michael Callen, late porn star Johnny Rey and performer-activist Vince Harrington (aka Michael LaBarbera).

GayPornGossip has just learned that legendary New York nightlife promoter and co-founder of HX Magazine, Marc Berkley, has died at the age of 57. A cause of death will have to be determined by the coroner, but our sources say Berkley suffered a heart attack on Saturday afternoon in Fire Island. May he rest in peace!  When we have more news about funeral arrangements or information surrounding Berkley’s untimely death, we will keep you posted.
