Back in September a California county jury found Gay Porn’s once famous Super-Star, Ryan Idol guilty of Attempted Murder and three other felony charges stemming from a violent altercation on September 5, 2009 where he was alleged to have beat his then 41- year old girlfriend over the head with a porcelain toilet tank lid.

Idol, incarcerated at Sacramento County Main Jail since September 19 of last year, appeared in court on January 13, 2011  and instead of being sentenced, Idol requested a new trial, citing ineffective assistance of counsel.

On December 9, 2011 Idol was scheduled for sentencing, instead of being sentenced Donais’ attorney asked to be withdrawn from the case, and the court granted the request.

In the Friday, January 13 Hearing, Donais was given a date of May 18, 2012, to appear in Department 40 of the Sacramento County Courthouse. At that time the decision will be made about whether to grant him a new trial. In the meantime, Donais continues to be held (without bail) at the Sacramento County Jail, with every day in custody applied to any sentence he might eventually be given. He doesn’t qualify for a percentage of time off for good behavior, due to the severe nature of his crimes. Donais could face up to 15 or more years in prison for the convictions.

This past May, Ryan Idol was in dire need of raising funds to maintain his legal defense that he came back into the gay porn scene by making a compensated appearance in West Hollywood. At the end of the night, he even shaved his mustache.

More recently, he started plans on a career as a chef by moving to Sacramento to attend culinary school, according to his girlfriend’s trial testimony.

The prosecution contended that the motive for the attack resulted from a long-standing jealousy on Donais’ part – despite his defense that it was the other way around, she was jealous of him and he never worried about his girlfriend wanting sex from other men “because ours was so great.”

The victim testified that she first met Donais in Hawaii when she was on vacation and quickly began a sexual affair with him. She said she ended the relationship in 1992 when she found out Donais acted in gay porn films. In mid-2008, the victim testified, she discovered he had become a Broadway actor, and she looked him up in New York City. After renewing their relationship, she said, they drove from the East Coast to California in his recreational vehicle. They lived for a while in the Kampgrounds of America (KOA) in Sacramento before moving into an townhouse. She said the townhouse was purchased by a male lover of Donais’ from New Hampshire who eventually moved in with them. She testified she moved out when she caught them having sex.

A couple days after her departure, she said, she was taking a bath around nine in the evening when Donais knocked on her door. She said she let him in and was returning to her bath when he said, “I came over here to kill you.”

“He just grabbed me like I was nothing, and he picked me up and he threw me into the bathroom. He came in and he started beating me with his fists. … When he took the lid off the toilet … I thought, Oh, my God, I’m not going to live. And I looked down because I didn’t want him to smash it on my face, and he smashed it on my head”

She said she was able to get some leverage and kick Donais twice, sending him careening into the bathtub. She testified she then ran from the house and called police. Telephone records showed Donais had called her 17 times in four hours before the incident.

Donais testified he’d been playing poker at a nearby cocktail lounge and had one shot of Wild Turkey whiskey before he drove to her place to check up on her. He said he was concerned that she was being manipulated by some drug-dealing friends.

Donais said that after he entered the house, his girlfriend got upset when he accused her of cheating on him. He said she came at him with a knife. He said he grabbed the toilet tank lid and swung it at her to defend himself.

He later showed up at a hospital bleeding from a 1 1/2-inch shard of porcelain jammed into his arm. Hospital officials called police and Donais was arrested and booked on a charge of attempted murder.

After 7 years as one of gay porn’s most popular leading men, he retired from the adult industry in 1996. Idol experienced a “near-death experience” on March 20, 1998, when he was seriously injured by a drunken and drug-induced fall from a window in his (or his girlfirend’s) 3rd (or 4th) floor New York City apartment (there are conflicting reports). Idol has stated that he has no recollection of jumping and that “the drugs and alcohol took over.”

In 2008, Idol was mentioned, under his real name, in court documents related to a lawsuit filed by HealthSouth in connection with allegations of misuse of funds donated to Birmingham, Alabama mayor Larry Langford‘s Computer Help for Kids charity. The papers show $30,000 being paid to Idol, with $5,000 coming from the charity and $25,000 from the Council of Cooperating Governments.

Charity director John Katopodis testified in a deposition that Idol was paid to repair computers and also to set up computer giveaway programs in other areas. Idol testified that, because of his 1998 fall, he was “not at [his] full faculties” and could not recall the details of his time with the organization.

Regarding his sexuality, Idol stated, “I’d just like to say I’m a loving person. I can love a man and I can love a woman. Over the years I have chosen to not label myself because there are plenty of others who will. I am happy to not label myself. Even though I come from that business, if one were to look at the plots from the films that I did – I only did 6 – it’s art depicting life and life depicting art. My first movie was close to where I was in my own life, and that was being curious about the gay world but having come from a Catholic background.”

During the 1990s, gay porn stars didn’t get too much more popular than Ryan Idol. In February 1989, he appeared as the “Man of the Month” centerfold in Playgirl under his birth name Marc Anthony Donais. This appearance launched his modeling career and introduced him to the adult film industry, in which he achieved notoriety and success under the name Ryan Idol. This is a funny but yet icky look into the lifestyle of veteran adult talent manager, David Forest, and arguably the world’s most famous male madam. Let me begin with some background, or if you rather simply skip to the bottom of this article and read the facts of the crimes as documented by a California Appeals Court …

In 1993 Los Angeles police responded to a trashed hotel room rented by Porn Star, Ryan Idol and discovered incriminating documents implicating David Forest in organized prostitution. Forest was charged with pandering. He plead no contest to the charges and was sentenced to 3 years in prison. Forest however appealed the judgement of the court and remained free on bail. Shortly following that he was arrested again for pandering and his bail revoked and would later serve a year and a half in California’s penal system and was paroled in 1998.

Two years later, Forest was back on top of his game and had signed a number of A-List stars to his roster and created his Meet The Stars program. Forest maintained then that the Meet The Stars program was not illegal but was aboveboard because clients paid only one up-front fee to merely be introduced to to a “star”. Nonetheless, again he was arrested and charged for pandering. More problems compounded when rumors of drug dealing surmounted and porn star Cody Cash was arrested for drug sale charges.

On February 8, 2006 Forest was found “NOT GULITY” on the charges of pandering and pimping. Less than a month later, Forest was arrested again for possession narcotics and after 5 days in jail was released on bail.

In the Spring of 2007 following a police investigation that started on CraigsList.com, Forest had placed classified ads on the website seeking guys no older than age 25 to enjoin him for sex and drugs (a/k/a Party and Play PNP). As a result of 2 different ads, posted in spanned timeline, Forest was arrested again.

In 2009, while he remained on appeal from the drug charges of spring 2007, David Forest told Paul Bookstabber, a columnist for NakedSword.com that in spite of his own use of Craigslist, that Craigslist was “an amateur hot dog stand” and “a cancer” on the escorting business.

In September 2010 David Forest, and once again, Cody Cash were arrested by Glendale, California police for felony drug possession charges. The matter remains pending on the docket in an LA Superior Court.

The foregoing Appeals Court decision, of which was ordered to not be published, affirms Forest’s drug conviction and explains why. The document also describes significant details of the police investigation of Spring 2007.

Richard Wolstencroft, director of the Melbourne Australia Underground Film Festival, was fined for screening Bruce LaBruce’s LA Zombie last year in defiance of a ban by an Australia film ratings board. In November of last year police raided Wolstencroft’s home and he was subsequently charged in a criminal action.

Although the maximum penalty could have been two years in jail or a $28,000 fine, a Melbourne Magistrate’s Court fined Wolstencroft $750, which will be paid to a Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital. He escaped being given a criminal record and was given a diversionary order instead. He will however have to pay legal and court costs.

The gay porn film was scheduled for screening in July 2010 at the festival, but after the rating committe refused to give it a certificate Wolstencroft organised a “public disobedience freedom of speech event” at the festival in August 2010.

Wolstencroft reportedly told the Sydney Morning Herald that he felt “a little chastened” by the experience and is unlikely to be so confrontational again.

He will next hold a screening of The Advocate of Fagdom, a documentary about Bruce LaBruce, to raise funds for his legal bill.

A Pennsylvania state appellate court has upheld the murder conviction and life sentence of now 29 year old, Harlow Cuadra.

Harlow Cuadra of Virginia Beach, Virgina, was seeking a new trial, alleging errors by the judge before and during his March 2009 trial in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.

The Times-Leader of Wilkes-Barre reported that the Superior Court ruled Oct. 14 that the judge’s rulings were:

“well detailed and well-reasoned.”

Cuadra was convicted of first-degree murder and other offenses in the 2007 slaying of 44-year-old Bryan Kocis in his rural Dallas Township home. Investigators said Cuadra and his then 26-year-old boyfriend Joseph Kerekes killed Kocis and then set the house on fire. Kocis was the owner and producer of Cobra Video. Prosecution and police maintained the motive for the killing was centered around gay porn superstar Brent Corrigan. Cuadra and Kocis felt that by murdering Kocis, Corrigan would be able to make a video with them.

Kerekes pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in December 2008 and was sentenced to life in prison.

The 2nd porn performer suspected in the Pasco County sex party murder is back in Florida. Jason Andrews (known also as Addison from SeanCody.com) was booked into the Land O Lakes Dentention Center late Tuesday night. US Marshals arrested Andrews last Thursday in Chattanooga, Tennessee where he was working as a manager of a billiards club.

Before the New Port Richey murder, and his arrest in Tennessee, Andrews was a bisexual Chicago DJ known to speak with a British accent, although his Pasco County charge report says he was born in Lungstahl, Tennessee. His chiseled jaw and good looks landed him roles in countless gay porn videos. Amanda Logue was a married, bleach-blonde Georgia woman who once owned a lingerie shop, dabbled in prostitution and starred in several X-rated videos herself.

Together, investigators say they stabbed and bludgeoned a 41-year-old tattoo shop owner to death with a sledgehammer — and hatched some of their plans in typo- and expletive-laden text messages.

“I’m so glad you’re really commited to this take. Keep eyes for a knife, etc for me!” Andrews typed on his BlackBerry hours before the slaying, according to a transcript of the messages included in court records.

Logue replied in a nearly incomprehensible text that she was excited — and she wanted to have sex after they killed him.

Nearly two months after Dennis “Scooter” Abrahamsen was found dead in his New Port Richey home, Logue and Andrews were indicted by a grand jury on first-degree murder charges. Logue is being held without bail at the Pasco County Jail — her attorney didn’t return calls for comment — and Andrews was arrested Thursday in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Pasco County investigators say the pair killed Abrahamsen in the early morning of May 15 and swiped $6,000 cash, his credit cards and a video camera.

Abrahamsen had hired Logue — whose porn name is “Sunny Dae” — to work at a sex party at his house, and police said that’s when Logue and Andrews set him up. They traded dozens of text messages about their homicidal plan, police said.

According to an affidavit, Logue would later deny that she had anything to do with the killing and claim Andrews was the one who bludgeoned Abrahamsen.

“Logue told (the detective) that Andrews grabbed the back of her hair then twisted her arm behind her back. Andrews forced her to view Abrahamsen’s crushed skull and told her that’s what would happen to her if she told anyone.“

Logue and Andrews met on the set of a porn video late last year and fell in love — even though Logue was married to a man in Leesburg, Ga., authorities and friends said. Her husband did not return phone calls from The Associated Press.

Andrews’ Chicago friends find it difficult to believe he was involved in the killing. The Facebook and MySpace pages for Andrews, under the name DJ Veritas, feature several video clips of him playing techno music in large clubs.

“He was a really straight up dude,” said Michael Sarkowicz, a Chicago club photographer.

Andrews, is featured in a HubPages article titled “Guys and Gals of Chicago You Should Know,” which refers to him only as DJ Veritas and refers to him as a “triple threat.”

“He is not only a DJ, but producer as well and dare we say a bit of eye candy,” the article says.

He was also known to some fans as Addison on an adult Web site, according to the Chicago GLBT blog and podcast “Feast of Fun.”

The 28-year-old Logue seemed like a decent person, said Kristen Cameron, a Florida-based model who met her last year. According to several profiles on modeling websites, Logue did bikini and fetish modeling.

“She was professional, prompt and seemed all around normal, well so I thought,” Cameron wrote in an e-mail to the AP. “She was nice to me and was a great model! I felt a connection to her since we both have southern backgrounds.“

But Cameron’s opinion changed this spring when she saw how Logue acted around Andrews, her new boyfriend.

“Amanda wasn’t the Amanda I knew,” Cameron wrote. “She wouldn’t talk, all she did was text with Jason.“

Andrews, Cameron said, was obnoxious and brash. He often bragged about his military service, of which Cameron was skeptical.

In April and May, according to their Twitter accounts, Logue and Andrews spent several weeks in Florida, shooting porn videos, lolling on the beach and professing their love for each other. Photos on Logue’s Facebook show the pair grinning and hugging.

On May 14, Andrews posted a link to a pornographic photo of Logue and wrote on his Twitter account: “therealsunnydae and I are killing time waiting for a party to find us!“

The next day, detectives said, Abrahamsen hired Logue to have sex on camera during a party at his house. During the party, Logue texted her boyfriend several times, witnesses told investigators.

Text messages retrieved from Andrews’ BlackBerry show the couple discussed vinyl gloves, when other guests would leave Abrahamsen’s home and what was inside a safe.

According to an affidavit, everyone at the party left Abrahamsen’s home around 5 a.m. May 15 — except for Logue. Andrews waited outside in his car, still texting her.

“Just get him on his face either bash or tell me to get in and. Where to go,” Andrews wrote.

“K I’m horny! I’m getting him to play music,” Logue typed.

“Wicked. Ill just be waiting. Really. Take. Your. Time,” Andrews replied.

Abrahamsen was found dead in his house by a family member some 18 hours later, face down on a massage table with blood splattered on the walls and ceiling fan.

At 4:29 p.m. on May 16 — less than a day after the murder — Logue wrote on her Twitter account, using Andrews’ Twitter name “Hearveritas:” “Taking it easy with hearveritas! Laying around eating popcorn and watching movies!“

At 5:20 p.m., Andrews tweeted: “therealsunnydae and I wanna go watch a movie tonight, any suggestion?“

As detectives pieced together the slaying, Logue and Andrews were arrested May 18 in a neighboring county after trying to use Abrahamsen’s credit card at Home Depot.

But officials didn’t have enough evidence to link the pair to the killing, and released them. On May 19, she went home to her husband and child in Georgia.

On May 21, Andrews wrote on his Twitter account in Hebrew: “Amanda please let me know when you are ok, really. My heart can’t take the weight of the fear that I would never see you again.“

It’s unclear whether Logue ever saw Andrews’ plea, or whether she replied to him. On May 26, she was arrested in Georgia and taken to a Florida jail, where she awaits trial.

San Francisco-based gay adult entertainment company Titan Media has sued aptly named free video streaming site Monstercocktube.com and its two German founders for copyright infringements, demanding $1.35 million in damages, according to a report from industry magazine Xbiz

Titan is alleging that the duo has been distributing nine of its movies without its consent. One of the titles was apparently watched more than 20,000 times. The lawsuit also alleges that the site’s administrators have tried to conceal their identity through an offshore company. Monstercocktube has apparently recently been renamed to the equally descriptive Monstercockland.com

The site is one of many YouTube-like adult video sites that are commonly know as “tube sites” within the adult business. These sites supposedly cater to viewers interested in exchanging user-generated content, but many feature unlicensed excerpts of professionally produced porn movies — a problem for an industry whose products are oftentimes only watched for a few minutes at a time.

Titan’s lawsuit isn’t the first time a porn studio has tried to confront the operators of such a tube site in court. Vivid filed a lawsuit against the Adult Entertainment Broadcasting Network (AEBN) in late 2007 for its free x-rated streaming site Pornotube.com. However, that lawsuit was withdrawn only ten months later, and Pornotube is now mostly featuring short promotional clips, with an option to pay for accessing full movies.

It’s doubtful that Titan will have similar success with its lawsuit against Monstercocktube. The site’s owners have apparently responded that they can’t be tried under U.S. law, and Xbiz is reporting that a recent letter sent by the San Francisco federal court was labeled “return to sender.”

An 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel indicated Thursday that the keyhole should be closed on Internet porn sites broadcasting from private residences, saying the sites constitute a business and could violate municipal zoning ordinances.

“We live in the world of reality TV. People will watch anything,” said Judge William H. Pyror, one of three judges hearing the city’s appeal.

His comments came during oral arguments in the city of Miami’s appeal to enforce municipal codes at a two-story colonial home north of downtown Miami used by cocodorm.com, a gay sex site that provides in-home camera feeds to subscribers.

The house at 503 NE 27th St. is essentially a production studio because independent contractors provide a service for a salary, room and board, the appellate judge said.

But U.S. District Judge Marcia Cooke ruled last year in favor of cocodorm’s parent company, Flava Works, citing a 2001 ruling by the 11th Circuit that concluded such homes did not constitute adult entertainment business because the product was essentially in cyberspace.

The city argued the issue is not whether cocodorm.com is an adult entertainment facility but that businesses of any kind are prohibited in residential zones.

James Benjamin, a Fort Lauderdale attorney with Benjamin & Aaronson representing cocodorm and Flava Works, vociferously argued the appellate court already decided the issue nearly a decade ago.

Cocodorm advertised for endowed models to live in the home and have their lives caught on Web cameras for paying customers. Flava Works receives the images from the cameras and puts them on its servers for paying customers.

Benjamin repeatedly referred to the 2001 decision when a panel ruled a home transmitting online images of copulating college co-eds did not violate Tampa, Fla.’s zoning ordinance banning adult businesses in residential areas.

Miami cited Flava Works for allegedly running an illegal business at a residence, an illegal boardinghouse and an adult entertainment venue in a residential neighborhood.

Assistant City Attorney John Greco argued the issues are different now. While the Tampa case involved whether an adult pornography business was operating in a neighborhood, the current case focuses on whether a business is illegally operating in a residential zone.

Allowing cocodorm.com to operate in the neighborhood eviscerates the city’s zoning ordinances, Greco said.

“Apparently, a business in a residential zone is permissible,” he said sarcastically.

Flava Works might as well have set up a textile factory in the neighborhood, Greco argued in appellate briefs. The company also ran into some controversy in Chicago, where the Public Health Department alleged a high level of sexually transmitted diseases among the residents of a home the company operated there.

Benjamin told the panel, which included 11th Circuit Judge Peter Fay and Senior U.S. District Judge Jordan J. Quist, visiting from Michigan, that neighbors were undisturbed by the residents. The only difference is cameras were set up in every nook and cranny to record their daily lives, which happened to include lots of sex.

The red house’s windows are whited out. There was only one vehicle parked there Thursday.

Benjamin said Flava Works might have moved the operation due to publicity.

The court indicated it most likely would send the case back to Cooke with instructions that the Tampa case is not controlling.

When Benjamin got animated in his argument, Pyror asked him if he wanted the appellate court to decide whether cocodorm.com is a business rather than send it back to Cooke.

“You are probably not going to like the ruling,” Pryor said

Photographs of a self-described porn star that were placed on a male escort’s Web site are at the center of a copyright and trademark infringement lawsuit filed in Orlando federal court. At issue are seven risque pictures of Orlando resident Justin Krueger that were uploaded to men4rentnow.com. The photos include a trademarked name — Corbin Fisher — on each image, according to the suit brought by San Diego-based Liberty Media Holdings.

Liberty Media owns the rights to those images. It wants about $1 million in damages, the suit says — $150,000 for each infringement it is alleging.

Attempts to reach Krueger were unsuccessful.

Through its attorney, Wintice Group, which runs men4rentnow.com, denied any wrongdoing.

Wintice Group merely operates a classified ad service, similar to Craigslist or other classified ad services,” attorney Peter L. Arvant wrote in an e-mail. “Individual advertisers directly upload and post all of their own content and photos. Wintice Group does not post any content or photographs.”

“Wintice is very mindful and respectful of intellectual property rights. We would never infringe on another company’s rights, just as we hope and expect that others would not infringe on our intellectual property. Wintice is confident that the legal process will show that.”

Krueger is a model who worked for Liberty Media, appearing in a movie “Greg,” the suit says.

A copy of the men4rentnow.com listing is included in the federal court file. The online listing states Krueger is a “rising porn star and a [sic] escort.”

A MySpace page reportedly belonging to Krueger also says the 19-year-old is a porn star.

Krueger is nude in several of the photographs that were uploaded to men4rentnow.com. Liberty Media claims it never licensed its photographs to an escort agency.

Update: There was some initial confusion with this story based on a post by TheSword.com that the model Justin Krueger was NOT named as a defendant. You can now see that Corbin Fisher’s attorney Marc Randazza has weighed in our comment section below and has clarified that the MODEL IS ALSO A NAMED AS A DEFENDANT in the action.
