FlavaMen® Magazine  announced the winners of the 2011 FlavaMen Blatino Awards®. These gay awards honor ethnic clubs, adult performers, and websites in a variety of categories and is administered by Flava Works. This year the FlavaMen Blatino Awards® had nearly double the amount of votes cast by the general public than last year. The ceremony was held in Atlanta, Georgia, during Atlanta Gay Black Pride Friday night, September 2nd, 2011.

The winners for the ‘best of the best’ in gay porn were announced Saturday night, May 28 for the 2011 Grabby Awards held at Chicago’s Park West Theatre. The Grabbys have been celebrating the work of the gay adult industry’s  film stars for 20 years.

The Awards event itself was celebrated throughout Chicago’s party venues with pre and post parties which were reported to be packed wall to wall given that Mr. Leather International (Eric Guttierez from Europe was named Mr. Leather International on Sunday night) was also in Chicago for their annual event.

The event was hosted again this year by legendary gay porn director Chi Chi Larue and Honey West along with sexy gay porn performer co-hosts, Tony Buff, Shane Frost and Dean Monroe.

Highlighted among many of the winners were the very popular fan’s favorite, Brent Everett, who was tied with Samuel Colt, for best Performer of the Year. Brent, who is also one of the hardest working boys in porn also was awarded Best Actor for his role in Channel 1 Releasing’s, Grand Slam.

Best Blog of the Year was awarded to JC Adam’s GayPornTimes.com, an award that was well over due for JC Adams. Adams was not present at the awards, but followed the event via the social networks and kept his Twitter followers updated throughout the night with highlights. One of the major highlights in his Twitter thread was learning of his own award. In an email replying to GayPornGossip, regarding him winning an award, he wrote, “I’m tickled sparkling pink!”

To the crowd’s  standing ovation, Sister Roma, Steve Shay, Brandon Baker and Dean Monroe were presented with the prestigious Wall of Fame Award.

The beautiful boys from Bel Ami Studios (Dolph Lambert, Kris Evans, Jean-Daniel Chagall, Kevin Warhol – photo left) attended the event making this the first time ever that Bel-Ami Studios attended the event. Bel Ami Studios were awarded Best European Theme Web Site.

As expected Raging Stallion Studios and Next Door Studios (Buddy Profits Network) rolled out massive multiple winners in many award categories.

The nominees for FlavaMen magazine’s second annual Blatino Awards have been announced. Now the magazine and parent company, gay adult studio Flava Works, seek the public’s input to help select the winners in 24 categories.

The Blatino Awards honor ethnic clubs, adult performers, websites, companies and individuals.

“We have a diverse group of nominees, and we’re looking forward to having the public vote for their choices,” said Flava Works Operations Manager Warren Bullock. “Based on feedback from last year we’ve added more categories, and in general it’s our goal to up the ante in every aspect.”
