The company hopes to pitch Boy Banned to chart success with its first single, ‘One World’, released today. The band is busy recording several more tracks, and plans to make its debut public appearance at Berlin Pride this summer.
The band’s lead singer, David Purdue, initially contacted his friend Dominic Diesel for advice on marketing the new boy band. ‘On hearing the ideas for the new boyband, I was very excited about the project and the perfect Producers and distribution network came into mind…’ said Dominic, who advises Eurocreme in digital marketing. Eurocreme director Trojan Rock took a shine to the boys, all in their early 20s, and promptly offered them a 12-song recording contract. ‘I was really impressed with their songs and boundless energy and the scope of success with Eurocreme’s direction and creative input is such that I couldn’t let the project pass me by!’, said Trojan. Eurocreme CEO Max Lincoln expressed his delight at the signing: ‘Boy Banned has enormous talent and is a fantastic addition to the Eurocreme portfolio. It gives us a unique position in the marketplace’.
‘One World’ is an upbeat summery pop song, described by Andy Goulding, Mercia Radio DJ as ‘pure, classy, feel good summer pop!’. The CD single contains the radio edit, an extended edit and an Ibiza-style club edit mixed and produced by London club gurus Jason Prince and James Hurr. All three tracks are available for download on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify. The band will perform ‘One World’ and several new songs on stage at Berlin Pride on the 19th of June. ‘It’s an incredible opportunity to be able to sing at such an important event and in front of so many people. We are really thrilled’, said David Purdue.
Boy Banned is David, Pob, Adam and Ryan. Their music, pictures, and a video blog about the making of the band are available online at www.boybanned.com. The website also has a fan section together with information about forthcoming appearances and events.
