Former Israeli Gay Porn Star Roman Ragazzi, Dead At 38

Gay Porn media websites and even major mainstream news outlets have reported that gay porn actor Dror “Drew” Barak (aka in gay porn stages as  Roman Ragazzi) committed suicide on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 in his New York City apartment. He was 38-years-old.

Barak was involved in a scandal in 2007, shortly after he broke into the porn industry. The New York Post’s Page Six outed him as a gay porn star while he was working as an Israeli consulate at the United Nations. The article caused Barak to resign from his position but soon after he left, he began working at as a personal trainer for a fitness company called Freedom Fitness.

Barak stopped making porn in 2008 but appeared in a fashion spread with two other gay porn stars for the Jan. 2012, issue of Out Magazine called “New York’s Finest.”

The head of Raging Stallion Studios, Chris Ward, told GayPornBlog.com  “He was probably the hottest man I have ever filmed — a massive man of pure beauty, intelligence and kindness. He was perfect in every possible way.” Ward named Barak Raging Stallion’s “Man of the Year” in 2008.

It is so sad that someone who outwardly looked like he had it all in fact had not even the love for himself to stay alive…. I hope he finds peace in his next life

What a selfish thing to do. I am sure he had demons/evils troubling him, but he chose to take an easy and permanent solution and leave his family to suffer. He will never find peace as he will be tormented with his demons forever.
There are many cancer and AIDS patients fighting for life everyday and he just threw his away.

For the one who said he will be tormented by his demons. Its so easy to compare anyones personal sufferings with aids or cancer. Depression is very serious. Have compassion and judge less. Whatever his issues were, too bad he didnt have the strength to get through the darkness. But dont judge him thats not fair

As someone who has AIDS, and have fought depression all my life, I can tell you that depression is a serious disease and shouldn’t be treated lightly. It’s too bad that he wasn’t able to overcome his depression, or that no one was there to help him. When you’re in that state of mind it takes others to help you out of it. Suicide is selfish and permanent, but I understand it. And I don’t believe he’ll be tormented by his demons forever; in fact, he’s leaving his demons here and continuing on his journey, free of all the things that make people commit suicide in this fucked up culture we have here in the U.S.

May Jesus embrace him and love him eternally. God is a loving God and will love him no matter what we think so let’s try to not judge and show love and compassion. He will be missed! RIP
