Exclusive Industry Exit Interview With A Twink Sensation, Philippe Delvaux

I contacted Philippe Delvaux looking to do an interview about his experience doing gay porn and at the same time Philippe was thinking of quitting and later announced that he was finished working the porn game. His sudden announcement was followed with him removing his website and twitter account… literally disappearing from the porn-o-sphere. Despite this I followed up and he kindly agreed to continue with my interview plans.

Now, he has decided to stop working for the porn industry and he’s not planning a comeback. Even though his career in porn gave him the opportunity to travel around the world to meet many different people and see beautiful places, he now thinks it is time for a move on with other things. On November 7, 2010 Philippe quietly announced on his twitter and website accounts;

“I turn 21 years old. And now I want something new in life. I don’t know what yet. I still want to do the photography, camera work, but not nude again and no more porn.”

My interview with Philippe denotes I think the difficulties that many international models face when trying to get work in the United States porn industry. Despite the bitterness contained in some of Philippe’s answers, lets us relish in a celebration of a short but successful career of one of the hottest and most gorgeous boys ever to appear on the x-rated screens.

Philippe: Well I wanted a English sounding name, but Eurocreme told me it needed to sound French. The owner of Eurocreme suggested Philippe and the surname, Delvaux. I liked it because I like the X on the end of the name, because sex is also with an x on the end.

AussieBoy: Why did you consider doing porn, everyone says just something that you always wanted to do. But what was the moment that you really considered looking into doing porn?

Philippe: Well I didn’t want to do this always. When I was in school I was just a normal student and didn’t think of the idea doing porn. I was shy about being nude. But than I turned model and after I wanted to try porn because I love sex so much.

AussieBoy: What were you thinking when you went to do your first hard-core scene?

Philippe: I was excited, I had no stress, It was all new. I was like a puppy. I thought mmmmmm this is easier than I thought, its nice to travel, this is what I wanted to do.

AussieBoy: It is now 2 years since making your debut, how much do you think that you have changed from the person who did that first scene?  And in what ways?

Philippe: I’m still the same normal boy as always, I’m not changed.

AussieBoy: How hard has it been to forge a career in the gay industry in Europe compared to North America?

Philippe: I don’t know, the movies I did are also in America in the shops and worldwide. Europe is closer to travel. America is difficult with paperwork and everything, its easier to work in Europe. America is not really a free country in my eyes right now. Some things in the American law are so stupid.

AussieBoy: Why have you quit the industry?

Philippe: Because on the internet so much porn is free, I think there is no future in the porn. I have done so many movies and everything I wanted to do in porn I have done. Studios are also difficult about paying you the money, because of the economic crisis going on in the porn world.

AussieBoy: What do you like the most about yourself?

Philippe: I don’t really know, I don’t like myself, I don’t think I’m hot, I do like it that I’m still healthy though.

AussieBoy: If someone was to take you out to dinner, what would be your perfect night?

Philippe: It despends who is gonna take me out for dinner. if it was my dream boy than I wanted to have a nice dinner with candle light and a hot night of sex at the beach or in the woods and afterward in the bedroom all night long and doing everything possible with no limits.

AussieBoy: Are you a romantic at heart?

Philippe: I am, yes very much, but not always, sometimes I like just sex because I’m horny, but when I find my dream boy I will do everything for him.

AussieBoy: What is a good day for you?

Philippe: A day with no stress, a busy day with lots of nice things to do, and not much time to think.

AussieBoy: What do you think is your greatest achievement while working in the industry?

Philippe: My two awards I won, 1 for best new actor 2009 and 1 for best bottom of the year 2010.

AussieBoy: When you are not Philippe Delvaux, what did you do with the other part of your life?

Philippe: I had a boyfriend for 1 year that I loved so much. I was busy with him all the time.

AussieBoy: What are the immediate plans for you now that you have quit the industry?

Philippe: I’m looking for something new in my life, I don’t know right now, I’m a little bit a lost person for now. I just want for the best for my future and need to think about it more.

AussieBoy: Is there a performer you wished you could have done a scene with but never did?

Philippe: No, I only wanted Cody Cummings and I did a scene with him. There are many nice guys in the world and I prefer private sex right now.

AussieBoy: Are you totally finished with porn, or do you think one day you may return?

Philippe: Yes, I’m totally finished with porn, I don’t want to make a comeback.

AussieBoy: When Marc from COP Blog interviewed you, you said “I’m not shy about my job. It’s the best job in the world!” What has changed?

Philippe: Yes, I never been shy for the work I did and I didn’t hide it from my family and friends. I was open about it. At that time it was the best job in the world. But now I think sex is something private and the time when I said its the best job in the world was the time when there was no crisis in the porn, and they didn’t try to save money about little things. Its two years later and I’m done with this.
